At Octagon, we know that proper upkeep is just as important as quality installation, which is why we offer a comprehensive collection of maintenance services to make sure that your business is always operating without disruption. We provide preventative maintenance programs that have been created to detect and eliminate any hotspots before they become burning issues.

We pride ourselves on the longevity of our installations. To this end we have a wide range of services and technologies; generator, UPS and other emergency back-up systems, breaker and high voltage maintenance, as well as lease protection. In particular, our power quality analysis and infrared thermo technology services have helped many of our clients minimize the risk of power outages or serious accidents.

We schedule our own maintenance calls and provide a 24-hour service in order to allow our clients to contact us anytime and ensure a quick turn around, especially in emergency situations. Octagon stands behind its work and offers a one-year warranty on all parts and workmanship.

 

Thermographic Screening:

  • Remove and re-install panel covers of all electrical equipment
  • Visual inspection and thermal imaging scan as per component summary
  • Provide load reading on all devices
  • Detailed reports on potential issues

High-Voltage Maintenance:

  • Inspect all electrical connections for deterioration and tightness
  • Inspect primary and secondary bushings
  • Inspect transformers
  • Test insulation resistance; test insulating liquid sample (ASTM 5 Part)
  • Provide electric test for PCB
  • Verify grounding
  • Perform analysis on liquid samples for gas in oil

Physical Maintenance:

  • Shut down equipment
  • Clean and vacuum dust from components
  • Inspect transformers
  • Physically tighten all electrical, component panels, breakers and transformers
  • Check overload settings
  • Ensure correct operation of starters and disconnects
  • Perform analysis on liquid samples for gas in oil
  • Provide reports on deficiencies and defects
