From its infancy in 1983, Octagon Electric has been involved in the telecommunication industry, helping to establish and develop Toronto’s telecom network system. We started modifying 40’ foot shipping containers, installing the electrical, cooling, ventilation and battery systems as well as the transmission equipment that would come to form the backbone of Toronto’s first telecom network. While they are now referred to by industry professionals as shelters, radio and walk-in cabinets and leasehold equipment rooms, Octagon remains the contractor of choice in providing these services and more to a variety of communications firms whether they are well established or just entering the market.
